With this monolithic concept album "Black Kite Broadcasts", Qoheleth places the listener into the shoes of a lonely survivor in a (perhaps not-too-distant) post-apocalyptic future who has the indelible pleasure of listening to a radio show hosted by a mysterious DJ known only as Fix Triscuit (whose musical taste is just about as random and bizarre as whatever collection of cellophane-wrapped munchies he's feasting on in order to stay alive). Strange musings. Riffs as crunchy as decades-expired Fruit Loops. Band names we all wish we would have thought of first. This album is massive, paradoxically hopeful and pessimistic, and above all a blast to listen to from beginning to end.
